Sunlite Chamber of Commerce Video Profile
Sunlite recently participated in the Lawrence Kansas Chamber of Commerce video profile project. Take a look at our video!
Here is a transcript:
Greg DiVilbiss, Vice President, Business Development: Sunlite is a manufacturer of LED light fixtures and UV Curing units, Sunlite started out as a manufacturer of silicon wafers and LED chips. From our original history 19 years ago we’ve evolved into manufacturing LED light fixtures and also UV curing units and a variety of other types of products like flashlights. From an efficiency standpoint, from a heat reduction standpoint, to a lifetime, the quality of our LED light fixtures is great because you can customize the color temperature.
Nathan Weipert, Sales Engineer: The Westar Energy project – took us about 3 years from the design to implementation and as we developed RGB LED color changing lights and installed them in front of Westar Energy Headquarters pocket park that we’re doing in downtown Topeka
What’s pretty cool about this project is that it’s an interactive pocket park. So as people walk by there’s 6 separate sensors and they can trigger LED RGB fixtures that’s associated with a certain color so it’ll change the pocket park colors as they walk through.
Greg DiVilbiss, Vice President, Business Development: Some of the biggest things that are coming up for Sunlite are the UV curing applications that we’re working on, we’re working with a multinational company right now to cure a particular type of coating that will impact the industry at a fairly high level and also impact our company.
Nathan Weipert, Sales Engineer: The opportunity to bring people a better quality of life is pretty exciting and just be innovative and do things with specific spectrums of LED light that people didn’t know they could do before.
Greg DiVilbiss, Vice President, Business Development: I think that there’s a lot of people in Lawrence Kansas that do not realize that we are a manufacturer that’s actually based right here. I often run into people that think maybe we’re reselling lights but we’re actually manufacturing products and yes, I think it’s important just in general for the people at large to know that there’s a company that’s been here a long time and it’s growing by really leaps and bounds. It is something the community ought to be proud of, I know we are.
